Trout signs autograph for hometown fan at Safeco
As Mike Trout headed to the visitor's dugout before M's-Halos action at Safeco Field on Friday, fans begged the Angels outfielder for an autograph. Trout signed a jersey and began making his way towards the clubhouse. Suddenly, a field attendant informed him that a boy from New Jersey wanted to see him. Trout, a Jersey native, continued on his way to the locker room ... but then stopped.
Twelve-year-old Matt, who was on vacation visiting family in Washington, plays for Tri-State Arsenal in New Jersey -- the same team Trout played on as a boy. Trout signed Matt's Arsenal cap and the young fan proudly sported the souvenir during the Angels' 9-1 win.
