The Twins scoreboard was predicting trades midgame on Thursday ... maybe
Predicting who's going to be traded before the Aug. 1 non-waiver Trade Deadline is a tough task. There are articles, primers and "so-called" experts, but we never really know for sure who's going where for who or what.
That is, unless, you were tuned into the Target Field scoreboard during the Twins' 6-2 win over the Orioles on Thursday:
Will Smith to the Mets? Carlos Beltran to the Indians? Who will win the election? Is the universe finite? What will I eat for lunch tomorrow?
Alas, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger informed us that the scoreboard was not telling the future, but simply streaming possible deals from a story:
.@Twins thx guys- Cleveland Indians (@Indians) July 29, 2016
How do we know for sure?
