Bird flies in front of a D-backs pitcher and miraculously survives
During Wednesday night's Padres-D-backs game, a bird flew between the mound and the plate while Chase Anderson was pitching. Considering D-backs pitchers' history with birds, this must have been one thrill-seeking avian, chasing an adrenaline high so sweet it can only come from narrowly escaping death by baseball:
Be careful, bird. Soon just flying below a pitch won't be enough. You'll start getting closer and closer to the strike zone, your little bird heart pumping with a fierce and unknowable joy, and then -- BAM -- you'll live only in Chase Anderson's Twitter avatar.
