The Chiefs are as excited about the Royals' postseason run as the rest of Kansas City

The Royals' return to the postseason has been a fantastic story to follow, and the fact that they're now leading the ALDS 2-0 over the Angels surely has Kansas City overflowing with joy and pride.

The thrill of that postseason run has not been lost on the Royals' crosstown siblings: the Kansas City Chiefs.

Check out this Facebook video the Chiefs shared detailing just how much the Royals' first October since 1985 has meant to the city, the fans and even KC's NFL franchise:

Particularly of note is the reaction from Chiefs tackle Donald Stephenson, a native of Kansas City who, in his words, was waiting "his whole life" to see the Royals finally break their decades-long drought. Stephenson was born in 1988, and thus has literally never experienced a Royals postseason first-hand.

Well, he is now - and they're one game away from heading to the ALCS.
