Yasiel Puig struck out seven times in a row, then smashed this monster triple

Puig ends NLDS strikeout streak with clutch triple

Dodgers outfielder and anthropomorphic GIF Yasiel Puig followed up his solid NLDS Game 1 outing with a bit of a mini-funk. Heading into Monday's Dodgers-Cardinals Game 3, Puig had struck out in five straight at-bats, stretching all the way back to the ninth inning of the series' first game. Then, in his first two trips to the plate in Game 3, he struck out twice more.

But with the Dodgers trailing by a run entering the sixth frame, Puig finally broke that seven-strikeout streak - and he did it in style:

Not only did he come up with a clutch leadoff triple for the Dodgers, but he also came around to score, tying the game at 1. That lead wouldn't hold, however, as the Cardinals stormed back and won the game, 3-1.
