Vote: It's time to pick the best plays from MLB, week 15

Now that we're all sufficiently dazzled by ice cream, on to the baseball.

Best offensive play

Two young stars go yard at the All-Star Game, Chris Taylor's first career home run is a pretty big one and Carlos Correa's got wheels.

Best defensive play

Daniel Murphy demonstrates some All-Star defense, Joe Mauer lays out, Correa makes a lightning-fast snag and Yangervis Solarte is nacho average third baseman:

Best pitching performance

Dellin Betances needs a level above All-Star, Stephen Strasburg goes 13-0, Matt Shoemaker finishes his first complete game with 13 strikeouts and Jacob deGrom deGrominates.

Best rogue baseball

Baseballs went rogue in all sorts of ways last week. Wil Myers got plunked during the Home Run Derby, Carlos Gonzalez shattered a drinking cup and a foul ball in Philly really had it in for a Mets fan's beer.
