Wally Wally oxen free! Red Sox mascot's costume returned after misunderstanding
We found Waldo -- and after quick search and rescue efforts by Boston Police -- Wally is safe and sound.
All's well that ends well after Boston's famed mascot costume, originally thought stolen, was found early Friday afternoon. Red Sox officials deemed the situation a misunderstanding between team employees and no arrests were made.
The colorful character was seen strutting around the downtown area for a couple of hours before being picked up by local authorities. Wally's official website listed his height as "pretty big" and weight "doesn't like to say."
Crisis averted. Wally the Green Monster is back in the Fenway fold.
