Watch highlights of the Rangers' newest prospect, Luis Yander La O

Move over Rougned Odor (both of them) and shortstop prospect Yeyson Yrizarri, because the Rangers have a new best-named player in the organization: Luis Yander La O. The team reportedly signed the Cuban ballplayer with the poetic moniker to a Minor League deal with a $110,000 bonus on Wednesday.

While his name is great and may inspire years of trade rumors to the Orioles -- because how great would it be to have La O on the O's? -- the team signed the infielder to play baseball. He's not expected to immediately leap past Adrian Beltre or Odor on the depth chart, but La O is a strong contact hitter that hit over .300 and walked more than he struck out in the Cuban Serie Nacional. The third/second baseman is also plenty smooth in the field, collecting a Gold Glove for his work.

Watch La O spray some line drives, and if you're into the glove, skip ahead to the 1:30 mark for some slick infield work.

If it's just hacks you want, then you can watch this, too:

The 25-year-old La O will start in the Minors, which should give poetic Rangers fans plenty of time to think of the best sonnets, sestinas and limericks for his name.
