Watch Robinson Cano's gorgeous swing send a laser beam over the fence on Opening Day
Through the long, cold, baseball-less winter, you may have forgotten what a perfectly executed swing looks like. One whose fluid path, graceful torque and expression of human beauty not only drives balls over the seats, but stamps memories on our hearts.
Batting in the first inning on Monday, Robinson Cano did just that with a Statcast™-measured 110 mph laser off of Cole Hamels.
While Cano struggled with injuries last season en route to posting his lowest OPS since 2008, that beautiful swing, .926 second-half OPS and Cactus League-leading seven home runs this Spring should give Mariners fans plenty of hope this year.
