This Red Sox fan's mid-class reaction to Boston losing ALDS Game 4 is absolutely heartbreaking
The Red Sox and Astros battled it out for nine innings of intense drama on Monday during Game 4 of the ALDS presented by Doosan. One particular Red Sox fan saw Boston's 5-4 loss and postseason elimination from class, and could not hide his disappointment.
The matchup gave us a little bit of everything -- from a John Farrell ejection, to seeing Chris Sale and Justin Verlander in reliever roles and a historic inside-the-park homer by Rafael Devers. The final out came down to a Dustin Pedroia ground ball fielded by Jose Altuve, and this guy's reaction says it all:
He did his best to keep quiet in the middle of class, but thatnks to some footage from behind, you can see how crushing the conclusion was -- and he couldn't close his laptop fast enough.
There's always next year.
The Astros advanced to their first ALCS, with Game 1 set for Friday on FS1 or FOX against the winner of the Indians-Yankees series. Game 1 would be in Houston if the Yankees win the series, or in Cleveland if the Indians win.
