We bet this guy wasn't expecting to catch a HR tonight

Meet Rick Edwards, who caught a home run off the bat of Yoenis Cespedes during the A's home opener in Oakland on Friday.

Edwards has been in the bleachers for 20 years now, and this marked the third time he caught a home run on Opening Day.

He also caught one off the bat of Jim Thome in 1997 and another one in 2000.

"We haven't had a big bat since McGwire," Edwards said. "It's nice to see another big, right-handed bat."
