Wil Myers hits a home run in first Tropicana Field at-bat
Monday was a day to remember for Wil Myers.
The 22-year-old began the day by taking some early fielding practice, learning to track fly balls in the Trop's white roof and holding his first session with local media.
Myers then made his Tropicana Field debut against the Blue Jays by hitting a 422-foot homer in his first at-bat. The shot sent the crowd into a frenzy and was actually in the middle of a back-to-back-to-back home run binge by his team.
So yeah, as far as first impressions go ...
