Yankee fan interferes on Yankees' behalf; Rays win anyway

Joe Girardi was out of the dugout before Evan Longoria even rounded third base; that's how sure he was that the home run was not, ahem, a home run.

Why? Because a fan in a Yankees jersey (and a Rays hat, talk about confounding) reached an arm's length over the wall and made -- truth be told -- a pretty nice catch. It was routine from there: the umpiring crew convened, went to replay, sent Longoria to second base, the fan was removed from his seat and all had a good laugh at Tony Tarasco's expense.

Oh, and the Rays scored the two runs anyway and won the game. By two runs.
