Yankees third-base coach Joe Espada was so excited to wave runners home that he fell over
It's a promising indication that you've found the right job if you are able to get so engrossed in the work that you lose track of time and space. By that standard, Yankees third-base coach Joe Espada confirmed he's in the right career during the eighth inning of Wednesday night's 11-5 win over the Blue Jays.
Though the two runs Espada emphatically waved in were ultimately just icing on the cake for the Yankees, they appeared to be crucial insurance runs at the time, extending the Yankees' lead to three runs.
That Espada still brings this level of energy to his job three years in -- he was named Yankees third-base coach prior to 2015 -- proves beyond a shadow of doubt that he's found the right career path.
