You know Cuba's Rusney Castillo has arrived because Jay Z made him a highlight reel

Cuba's Rusney Castillo has Jay Z highlights now

In the spring of 2013, Jay Z and his wife Beyonce famously celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Cuba. (It's legal for Americans to travel to Cuba, it's just difficult to do so since the 1960 trade embargo was put in place.)

Shortly after his return to the U.S., Mr. HOV released a musical ditty by the name of "Open Letter" in which he mocks the notion that he was able to travel to Cuba without President Obama's permission. He raps:

I done turned Havana to Atlanta.

And, later:

Boy from the hood forgot White House clearance, sorry ya'll, I don't agree with ya'll parents.

Around the same time that Jay Z was visiting Cuba, he was busy becoming a licensed sports representative, signing Robinson Cano as his first client and later helping deliver Cano to the Mariners with a 10-year contract worth $240 million.

Now, everything has come full circle because Cuban defector and prized infield/outfield commodity Rusney Castillo is the next big thing. He's poised to sign a big league contract this winter and he's got The Roc representing him.

If you didn't know that by now, Roc Nation made sure you'd figure it out by releasing a highlight reel from Castillo's Miami workout set to Jay Z's "Open Letter."

So was that whole vacation actually just a scouting trip?
