The Arizona Diamondbacks celebrate our Latino fans, players and team players throughout the year, and host Hispanic Heritage Day each season. This season marks the 23rd annual celebration with Los D-backs Hispanic Heritage Weekend September 24-26, presented by Michelob Ultra Pure Gold. The team will celebrate the Hispanic culture with music and entertainment all weekend. On Friday, September 24, enjoy a postgame fireworks show set to Hispanic music presented by Gila River Hotels & Casinos. The first 10,000 fans to the game on Saturday, September 25 will take home the Los D-backs Snakehead Cap. On Sunday, the first 1,000 fans will get the Los D-backs Serpientería Game.
Each season the D-backs recognize an individual for their advocacy, leadership and service to strengthen the Hispanic community in Arizona. In 2007, the first award was given to Pete A. The D-backs debuted their Nike MLB City Connect series uniforms in June 2021. The jerseys bring forward the Sonoran desert sand from the D-backs’ brand and have “Serpientes” winding across the chest. Serpientes, the Spanish translation of Snakes, was used to pay tribute to the Hispanic culture so prominent in Arizona. The D-backs collaborated with Nike to design the uniforms with the idea of highlighting the team's desert roots, Arizona's Hispanic culture and the bond between the team and its fans. The D-backs will wear the City Connect uniforms for select games during the 2021 season.
