D-backs Fourth of July Game at Chase Field sold out

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today that their Fourth of July Military Appreciation game at Chase Field is sold out. A limited number of standing room only tickets will be available for $15 starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow and can be purchased at the Chase Field Box Office or by calling 602.514.8400.

The sold-out Fourth of July celebration will be highlighted by a special post-game fireworks display (weather permitting) presented by Gila River Casinos and 20,000 fans will receive a D-backs Fourth of July T-shirt courtesy of Ram Trucks as they enter the stadium. Gates to Chase Field will open early at 4:30 p.m. to give fans additional time to enjoy the pregame festivities.

The D-backs will honor all active, reserve and retired military members and their families throughout the game starting with a series of special pre-game ceremonies. D-backs President & CEO Derrick Hall and Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton will welcome 25 military families representing all five branches, including Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy, Marines and Army and 20 veterans from prior eras as they enter the field. Members from all five branches of the military will take part in various pregame activities including the ceremonial first pitch, national anthem and an oath of enlistment ceremony.

Fans that are unable to make it to the D-backs game on Wednesday can catch all the action on FOX Sports Arizona with a special telecast of their sixth annual “This One’s For You, Presented by Sanderson Ford and Pepsi”. “This One’s For You” was created to offer FOX Sports Arizona’s thanks to the brave men and women who serve and have served America in the military and to remind everyone about the sacrifices these heroes – and their families - are making for us all. The game will also be televised around the world on American Forces Network (AFN), allowing American service men and women, Department of Defense and other U.S. government civilians and their families stationed at bases overseas as well as U.S. Navy ships at sea, the opportunity to watch. Coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. with a special one-hour edition of the Diamondbacks Live pregame show.

There are still tickets available for additional D-backs home games this week, including tonight’s game that will feature D-backs rookie pitcher Trevor Bauer as he makes his Chase Field debut. This weekend the D-backs will give away a Lucha Libre mask, courtesy of Univision 33, to 15,000 fans on Saturday and D-backs soccer balls, courtesy of Smile Generation, to 5,000 kids on Sunday. In addition, the D-backs offer all military active duty, reserve, retired and veterans with a valid military ID a 50 percent discount on single-game ticket prices for this Sunday and every Sunday home game.
