Giants coach Flannery to hold benefit shows for Stow

SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants third-base coach Tim Flannery, who doubles as an accomplished musician, will continue his efforts to help Bryan Stow by performing in three upcoming northern California concerts to benefit the seriously injured man.

The benefits are slated for Thursday, Jan. 24, at Redwood City's Fox Theatre (; Saturday, Jan. 26 at Napa's Uptown Theatre (, and Sunday, Jan. 27 at Santa Cruz's Kuumbwa Jazz (

Flannery also will take the stage on Friday, Jan. 25 at Mill Valley's Sweetwater Music Hall (

At all four concerts, Flannery will be joined by his band, the Lunatic Fringe, along with special musical guests.

Flannery has raised approximately $70,000 for Stow, the 43-year-old Giants fan who was left in critical condition for six months after being assaulted by two men in the Dodger Stadium parking lot on March 31, 2011. The Santa Cruz paramedic and father of two sustained major skull and brain injuries in the assault as well as a medically induced coma.
