Forsythe, Seager aim for Friday return

PHOENIX -- The Dodgers' double-play combination might be reunited Friday.
Second baseman has missed three consecutive games while allowing a series of lubricating injections in his right knee to take effect, while has missed three games from a bruised right shin suffered fouling off a pitch.
Both players said on Thursday that they expect to play Friday, when the Dodgers have split-squad games against Kansas City at home and Arizona on the road.

Forsythe said he has now finished a series of three injections designed to help prevent and alleviate arthritic symptoms in the right knee, which underwent arthroscopic surgery when he was in high school.
Seager was wearing a protective sleeve on his lower right leg Thursday, but he was moving freely around the clubhouse and didn't hesitate to stand on the chair in front of his locker to rearrange items out of reach.
In the players' absence Thursday, Chris Taylor started at shortstop and Jose Miguel Fernandez started at second base.
Meanwhile, first baseman continues to recover from right elbow tendinitis. And returned to the lineup Thursday as the designated hitter, his first game action since Sunday. He is healthy, but is being eased into action this spring, and he has appeared at third base only once.
Manager Dave Roberts said Gonzalez began taking dry swings Thursday and will advance to soft toss Saturday. He will be examined by Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Monday and, with game clearance, will get one at-bat Monday, two Tuesday, and then join Team Mexico for the World Baseball Classic.
