D-backs get best of Dodgers with comebacks
PHOENIX -- Welington Castillo doubled home Jake Lamb to trigger a four-run eighth inning as the D-backs rallied to beat the Dodgers on Monday night, 10-6, snapping Los Angeles' seven-game win streak over Arizona.
"I think we just answered," D-backs manager Chip Hale said. "They came out swinging it, hitting home runs, and put us in a hole, and we just answered. It was incredible. They did a great job."
Dodgers starting pitcher Mike Bolsinger had a shutout through four innings when he left with suspected food poisoning, leading 4-0 against Arizona and its starter Allen Webster, a former Dodger by way of Boston. The Dodgers added to a first-inning run with fourth-inning solo homers by Andre Ethier, Yasmani Grandal and Joc Pederson.

"That'll teach me to never eat oysters," Bolsinger said of the weekend meal in Miami he believed necessitated a pre-game IV and an early departure.
Nick Ahmed pulled Arizona back into the game with a two-run homer off Joel Peralta in the fifth inning and Yasmany Tomas tied it with a two-run homer in the sixth inning off Yimi Garcia that withstood a crew chief review, with replay officials ruling that the call on the field stands. Jimmy Rollins' two-run single in the seventh broke the tie, but Arizona knotted it in the bottom of the inning on David Peralta's two-run triple off Adam Liberatore.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Scoring in pairs: A day after the D-backs hit three home runs in a win over San Diego, Ahmed and Tomas each belted a two-run home run. Ahmed's was his fifth homer of the season. He was 2-for-3 and is batting .314 over his last 10 games with two homers and six RBIs. Tomas' fourth homer was his first at Chase Field and third in June. In the seventh, Peralta tied the game at 6 with a two-out, two-run triple.

Not a pitching duel: D-backs pitchers walked seven with one hit batter, but Dodgers relievers allowed 10 runs over the final four innings.
"We'll have to look at it," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said of the bullpen breakdown. "Did we execute? Did we get the ball where we want? Was it the right pitch selection? It was a group effort tonight. They've been really good. Tonight was one of those nights."
Squandering chances: The Dodgers had bases loaded and no outs in the first inning, but scored only one run on Adrian Gonzalez's double-play grounder. With two outs in the third inning, Yasiel Puig beat out an infielder high-hopper, but Justin Turner was lured off third base by Webster and ran out of the threat. Struggling to contain: Webster had trouble keeping the ball in the ballpark during the fourth inning, a common occurrence in his last few starts. The right-hander served up a trio of home runs, a season high. Ethier and Grandal went back-to-back to open the inning and Pederson crushed one to right with two outs, projected by Statcast™ to land 458 feet away with an exit velocity of 108 mph. Webster has allowed six homers in his last three outings.

REPLAY REVIEW
In addition to Tomas' home run review, the Dodgers also lost a manager's challenge in the eighth inning, replay officials confirming the call on the field that Castillo did touch first base on his way to the tiebreaking double.

"I hit it really good, I really hit it well and I thought that ball would go out. It didn't, but I'll take a double with an RBI." -- Castillo, on go-ahead hit in the eighth.

D-backs: Rubby De La Rosa looks to keep his recent success going when he takes the mound on Tuesday at 6:40 MST. De La Rosa is 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA in his last three starts, including giving up one earned run on five hits over seven innings in each of his last two outings.
