LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers will open their final homestand of the season on Monday, taking on the Colorado Rockies (Sept. 17-19) and San Diego Padres (Sept. 21-23) in games with major postseason implications. The Dodgers enter play today trailing the first-place Rockies by 1.5 games in the NL West.
The homestand will be highlighted by Jaime Jarrín Night on Friday, Sept. 21, where the Hall of Fame broadcaster will become just the 12th Dodger to be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor. Fans are encouraged to arrive early Friday for the 6:30 p.m. pregame ceremony honoring Jarrín for his 60 years with the club. Friday's game kicks off a weekend of special events at Dodger Stadium with Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny's, La Gran Fiesta Viva Los Dodgers presented by Spectrum and Coca-Cola starting at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the 76 Station and Fan Appreciation Day Sunday, complete with giveaways and post-game Kids Run the Bases.
In addition to games that are sure to have a postseason feel, the homestand features four bobblehead giveaways, with Matt Kemp Bobblehead Night presented by Budweiser on Tuesday, the team's first-ever Digital Bobblehead Night on Friday, Manny Machado Bobblehead Night presented by State Farm Saturday and Orel Hershiser Bobblehead Day courtesy of Your SoCal Honda Dealers on Sunday. The team's Sept. 21 Digital Bobblehead promotion is the first of its kind in Major League Baseball - and believed to be the first Crypto giveaway in sports - giving fans the opportunity to download a Clayton Kershaw, Justin Turner or Kenley Jansen token to their Ethereum wallet. The player Crypto token received will be randomly selected, with approximately an equal number of Kershaw, Turner and Jansen codes distributed at the stadium gates.
The team will also be hosting Law Enforcement Night (Sept. 17), Dia de Los Dodgers (Sept. 19), School Employees Appreciation Night (Sept. 21) and those who purchased the Disc Golf ticket pack on Sept. 22. These games include special pregame programming and an exclusive item for those that purchase their tickets through Dodgers.com/Events.
