Dodgers place Yasiel Puig on disabled list

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed outfielder Yasiel Puig on the 10-day disabled list with a right oblique strain Monday and recalled outfielder Andrew Toles from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed outfielder Yasiel Puig on the 10-day disabled list with a right oblique strain Monday and recalled outfielder Andrew Toles from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Puig, 27, goes on the disabled list for the second time this season, after suffering the injury on a swing in yesterday's contest against the Angels. In 76 games for Los Angeles this season, the Cuba native is batting .265 with 11 home runs, 35 RBI and seven stolen bases.
Toles, 26, last played for the Dodgers on May 9, 2017 before he was placed on the disabled list with a torn right ACL. In 34 games with OKC this season, he is hitting .326 with four home runs and 22 RBI.
