Cuban infielder Jose Miguel Fernandez reached a deal with the Dodgers late Thursday night, according to MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez.
The club has not confirmed the report.
Fernandez, who defected from Cuba in December 2015, played seven seasons for Matanzas in Cuba's Serie Nacional, the country's top league.
The left-handed hitter batted .524 with three doubles and six RBIs for Cuba in the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
Fernandez did not play in 2015 after he was suspended for attempting to defect toward the end of last year. The 28-year-old played winter ball in the Dominican Republic this season.
Fernandez was declared as a free agent in April 2016 and has been eligible to sign with a team since.
