LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers quickly agreed to terms with first-round pick Gavin Lux to a $2.317 million bonus on Thursday, one week after selecting the Wisconsin high school shortstop with the 20th overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft.
The club hasn't confirmed Lux's signing, which is reportedly pending a physical exam. However, the team did confirm the signings of these picks: Sixth-rounder Errol Robinson, a shortstop from the University of Mississippi; eighth-rounder Andre Scrubb, a right-handed pitcher from High Point University; 14th-rounder Dean Kremer, a right-handed pitcher from UNLV; 16th-rounder Darien Tubbs, an outfielder from University of Memphis; 20th-rounder Brock Carpenter, a third baseman from Seattle University; 22nd-rounder Jeff Paschke, a right-handed pitcher from USC; 26th-rounder Brandon Montgomery, a second baseman from San Jacinto College-North and 31st-rounder Stevie Berman, a catcher from Santa Clara University.

Lux, 18, told reporters after the Draft that he has been compared to current Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley, being a left-handed-hitting middle infielder. Utley was originally drafted by the Phillies as a shortstop.
Lux hit .531 (43-for-81) with six home runs, 31 RBIs, 10 doubles and four triples, and stole 23 bases this season. He drew 29 walks and struck out twice in 26 games.
Lux is the first shortstop taken in the first round by the Dodgers since current shortstop Corey Seager was drafted in 2012. Scouts have projected the 6-foot-4 Seager to eventually move to third base. Lux was scouted by Dodgers area scout Trey Magnuson.
MLBPipeline.com had Lux ranked as the No. 33 prospect in the Draft, but the Dodgers seemed content with reaching for easily signable players after they were unable to sign first-rounder Kyle Funkhouser last year.
Lux had committed to Arizona State, but he hinted to reporters last week that he was ready to sign and get his professional career started.
"We think Lux has a lot of athleticism, good hands, enough arm strength to stay at the position and he's a very good baseball player," scouting director Billy Gasparino said last week after his second Draft with the club. "We really think he has a chance to be a really good hitter at the Major League level.
"He has talent and skill, and the kid comes from a baseball family and he has a really high character. One of the things we were impressed with [is] how much strength he put on in the last six months. He's more physical than you think. The Wisconsin stigma might throw some people off. He's not a raw kid, he's advanced. We don't think he's a slow mover."
Lux's uncle, Augie Schmidt, was the No. 2 overall pick and the Golden Spikes Award winner in 1982, and he is the head coach at NCAA Division III Carthage College in Wisconsin. Lux called Schmidt his "mentor."
