Sources: Dodgers, Hill close to 3-year deal

December 4th, 2016

The Dodgers are close to finalizing a three-year contract with left-hander , one of the top free-agent starters on the market this offseason, sources confirmed to MLB.com.
Neither the Dodgers nor Hill have confirmed a deal is in place.
The agreement is for at least $40 million, per Peter Gammons, who first reported of Los Angeles closing in on a deal with the 36-year-old southpaw.

Hill, who pitched for the A's before being dealt to the Dodgers at the Trade Deadline last season, went 12-5 with a 2.12 ERA in 20 starts. The Yankees, Rangers and Astros were also reportedly in serious talks with him, and both the Red Sox and Orioles had shown interest.
