Grandal exits with back spasms in 8th

NEW YORK -- Dodgers catcher left Saturday's 7-4 win over the Mets in the eighth inning with back spasms, manager Dave Roberts said.
Grandal, who had the Dodgers' first hit of the game with a fifth-inning double, struck out in the eighth inning. came out to catch the bottom of the eighth.
"He came to me after that inning saying he can't move, he was limited," said Roberts. "Holding our breath to make sure Austin doesn't hurt himself."
Roberts said he didn't believe the injury was serious, although with a scheduled day off on Monday and a cross-country trip Sunday night, it's likely that Barnes will catch the series finale on Sunday. The Dodgers also are carrying a third catcher, , who singled as a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning.
