Dodgers recall Andre Jackson

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Andre Jackson and placed right-handed pitcher Dustin May on the injured list with low back tightness.

Jackson, 26, returns for fourth stint with the team and he has made two appearances this season, going 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER/2.2 IP) and three strikeouts. In his Major League career, he is 0-1 with a 1.88 ERA (3 ER/14.1 IP) and 13 strikeouts in five games. In 21 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City, he is 2-7 with a 5.00 ERA (42 ER/75.2 IP) and 76 strikeouts. He was originally drafted in the 12th round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Utah.

May, 24, made six starts for the Dodgers, going 2-3 with a 4.50 ERA (15 ER/30.0 IP) and 29 strikeouts this season. He has been in the Major Leagues parts of three seasons, and he is a combined 8-8 with a 3.26 ERA (52 ER/143.2 IP) with 140 strikeouts in 37 games (25 starts). He was originally drafted in the third round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Northwest High School in Justin, TX.
