LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Mitch White and optioned right-handed pitcher Edwin Uceta.

White, 25, returns after tossing 7.1 scoreless innings of relief in his last outing on August 18 against the Pirates. In the outing, he became the first Dodger pitcher to toss 6.0+ innings in a relief appearance since Pedro Astacio fired 6.1 innings in relief on Sept. 29, 1996 against San Diego. On season, he is 1-1 with a 3.06 ERA (12 ER/35.1 IP) and 35 strikeouts in 17 games for the Dodgers. The former second rounder out of Santa Clara University is 2-2 with a 2.82 ERA (12 ER/38.1 IP) in 19 career MLB games.

Uceta, 23, was recalled yesterday but did not appear in the contest. He is 0-3 with a 6.64 ERA (15 ER/20.1 IP) and 25 strikeouts in 14 games (one start) for the Dodgers. With Triple-A Oklahoma City this year, he was 1-3 with a 6.20 ERA (14 ER/20.1 IP) and 27 strikeouts in seven games (three starts). The Dominican Republic native has been with the Dodgers organization since signing as international free agent on July 2, 2016. In parts of six minor league seasons, he has posted a 21-15 record with a 3.86 ERA in 84 minor league games.
