Exhibit honoring World Series champion Dodgers now open at Hall of Fame

Spikes Worn by Most Valuable Player Freddie Freeman, Shohei Ohtani’s Game 3 World Series Jersey Highlight Autumn Glory Exhibit’s Year-long Salute to Baseball’s Champions

December 5th, 2024

LOS ANGELES - Individually and as a team, the Los Angeles Dodgers had a historic 2024 season.

Treasures from that memorable journey are now on exhibit in Cooperstown.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will celebrate the Dodgers’ 2024 World Series championship through Autumn Glory, the Museum’s tribute to the postseason in Cooperstown. The display honoring the 2024 champions is now open, and entrance to Autumn Glory is included with Museum admission.

Following Los Angeles' World Series-clinching win on Oct. 30, the Museum acquired several artifacts from the Dodgers, who defeated the New York Yankees in the 120th World Series. Artifacts donated by the Dodgers and featured in the exhibit celebrating the 2024 postseason include:

  • Spikes worn by World Series MVP Freddie Freeman in Games 1 and 2
  • Jersey worn by Shohei Ohtani during Game 3
  • Cap worn by manager Dave Roberts
  • Glove worn by Walker Buehler, who posted a win in Game 3 and saved Game 5
  • Chest protector and cap worn by catcher Will Smith, who caught the final strikeout of the decisive Game 5
  • Jersey worn by pitcher Anthony Banda, who made scoreless relief appearances in each of the Dodgers’ four World Series wins
  • A ball used during the ninth inning of Game 5
  • Batting helmet worn by NLCS Most Valuable Player Tommy Edman
  • Batting gloves worn by Mookie Betts, who hit .290 with 16 RBI in the postseason
  • Bat and batting gloves worn by Max Muncy, who set a record by reaching base in 12 straight postseason plate appearances

In addition to these items generously donated by the players and team, the exhibit will include longtime Japanese baseball writer Mamoru Shikama's World Series media credential, representing the historic coverage of the 2024 World Series by the Japanese press.

The 2024 World Series exhibit in Autumn Glory will be on display through the conclusion of the 2025 Major League Baseball postseason.

In 2025, the Museum will continue its salute to the Dodgers World Championship of 2024 with special programming to be announced in the spring.

The Museum collections contain many artifacts documenting the entire history of World Series and postseason play, including Don Larsen’s cap and Yogi Berra’s mitt from Larsen’s 1956 perfect game; Joe Carter’s bat from his Series-ending blast in 1993; the jersey David Freese wore when he hit his game-winning home run in Game 6 in 2011; and World Series rings from the last century of Fall Classic competition.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open seven days a week year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. From Labor Day through the start of Memorial Day Weekend, the Museum observes daily regular hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Ticket prices are $30 for adults (13 and over), $24 for seniors (65 and over) and $21 for juniors (ages 7-12) and $20 for those holding current memberships in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and AMVets organizations.
