Robert L. Plummer joined the Dodgers ownership group in 2019, and is Chairman and CEO of R.P. Lumber Co., a retail home center and building materials supplier with locations throughout Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, and Wyoming.
Plummer also is involved in the real estate, hospitality, banking, and agriculture industries. A property he developed in Edwardsville, IL, “Ebbets Field,” is notable for having its numerous streets named after Dodgers players and managers.
A former high school teacher and coach, Plummer is a lifelong Dodger fan. He was born and raised in Litchfield, IL and graduated from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. He serves on the boards of Busey Bank and BJC Hospital Group, as well as on boards of numerous non-profit organizations.
Plummer and his wife, Donna, reside in Illinois and are the proud parents of three children and seven grandchildren. They are strong supporters of their church, medical charities, youth sports and leadership organizations, and other causes, including Plummer Family Park, a new 83 acre family sports park in Illinois.
