Los Cachorros de Chicago hoy anunciaron que firmaron al outfielder Brennen Davis, la selección de la segunda ronda del draft del equipo (la 62 en total) y al lanzador Paul Richan, una selección compensatoria de la segunda ronda (78 en total). Los términos de las firmas no fueron divulgados.
Hasta ahora, los Cachorros han firmado a diez peloteros seleccionados en el draft de 2018 (incluyendo a Davus y a Richan): El outfielder D.J. Artis (séptima ronda), pitcher Riley McCauley (ronda 14), pitcher Carlos Vega (ronda 21), outfielder Jamie Galazin (ronda 22), pitcher Blake Whitney (ronda 24), outfielder Drew Wharton (ronda 30), infielder Clayton Daniel (ronda 31) y el pitcher zurdo Jack Patterson (ronda32).
Davis bateó .444 (de 63-28), con .761 de slugging y 13 bases robadas en 23 juegos para la Basha High School (AZ).
Richan poncho a 101 bateadores en 89.2 innings y solo dio 13 bases por bolas de su temporada junior en la Universidad de San Diego.
