Belt stays hot with 5th blast in last 6 games

April 25th, 2018

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Giants have homered in eight consecutive games. They've derived more than half of their runs -- 45 of 78, or 58 percent -- from the long ball.
Much of this can be attributed to first baseman , who hiked his team-leading home run total to six with a third-inning, two-run smash off Washington's in the Giants' 4-3 triumph Tuesday night at AT&T Park.
"Without his home run, mine means nothing," said , whose sixth-inning homer provided the winning margin for San Francisco.

Belt's big drive ended his homerless spell at exactly one game. He homered in four consecutive games from April 19-22. A left-handed batter, Belt has hit each of his homers off right-handed pitchers.
Prone to streaks, Belt has batted .360 (9-for-25) during a seven-game hitting streak. He has five homers and eight RBIs in that stretch.
