The Giants will wear specially designed jerseys and caps embossed in gold when they receive their 2012 World Series rings in a pregame ceremony on Sunday at AT&T Park, and those items lead the way in an array of new items available this season at the MLB.com Shop.
You can wear those same authentic jerseys from Majestic Athletic and caps from New Era that the Giants players will be wearing for that day's game against the Cardinals. Coincidentally, the Cardinals were the ones who got the gold treatment last year.
In addition to those items, FlairHair visors, updated on-field caps, Jumbotron prints, full-zip jackets, silicone bracelets, an Astros redesign, pillow pets and an ever-increasing selection of women's wear are among the new items to greet this regular season. We asked our own buyers for each Shop category here at Major League Baseball Advanced Media and offer this list of things you have to see in 2013:
Guy Fieri Everywhere. If you haven't seen FlairHair, then get ready, because more than a million of these have been sold and now it's all over MLB. This is 100 percent polyester faux hair coming out of a visor, and no matter what, you have up top, it covers your whole head.
"Flair Hair has already received a ton of buzz in the market and brings a smile to everyone's face," said George Poulos, national sales manager of sports for Concept One, maker of these items. "The visor is essentially a novelty item with attention to authenticity, detail and quality. It's the perfect way for MLB fans to wear their team colors and root for a win."
Springtide Full-Zip Jacket. Majestic Athletic just put out this line in time for Opening Day, a roomy water-resistant model embroidered with woven label.
A&E Home Video "MLB Superstars: Impact Players." How would you construct a dream team of 25 stars and cornerstone players? This is a great way to start a season and see a general manager's perspective on this subject. Matt Kemp, Prince Fielder, Robinson Cano, Stephen Strasburg, David Price, Justin Verlander ... who else? Order for just $14.99 and see.
Personalized Jerseys. It's time to update that closet with your team's newest styles and/or stars. The Astros have an all-new look and the Cardinals have a rare "St. Louis" road jersey. Braves fans who've retired their old No. 10s have their choice of Upton jerseys now, and Angels fans need a Hamilton No. 32.
Jumbotron Art. Today's ballpark scoreboards are freaks of technology compared to the old-school Jumbotrons. But if you grew up with that dot-matrix effect on the big boards, you'll love this collection of 28 prints, each a Hall of Famer who played at some point in the 1980s (Lou Brock is the exception, having finished in '79).
Spring 2013 Majestic Women's Fashion Fanwear Collection. Have you seen the Trouble Crop Top yet? The styles in this collection range from fashion jerseys to track jackets to V-neck tees to hoodies.
KO Full-Zip Therma-FIT Hooded Fleece. This features the team logo on the left chest in raised satin twill patch with front kangaroo pouch pocket, so you'll have it for those early spring games when cool temps persist. Another good Nike option is the Cooperstown Dri-FIT Tempo Track Jacket.
84th All-Star Game. The next Midsummer Classic is July 16 at Citi Field in New York, and you can gear up now with merchandise from every category: accessories, caps, collectibles, fleeces and outwear, home and office, men's, women's and youth.
Mariano Rivera Pennant Base Bobblehead. It's the swan song for the greatest closer ever, and a new bobble from Forever Collectibles in his final year could be a nice piece of memorabilia. Look through the whole collection and tell us in the comments which ones are your favorites.
Authentic Caps. You've read about the new and more lightweight lids the players will wear on the field during games and batting practice, using new technology for greater moisture management and sun protection. Now's the time to get the Diamond Era 59FIFTY and Club 39THIRTY models.
.300 Hitter Hooded Sweatshirt. Out of all the countless hoody styles in the Shop, these brand-new models from Majestic Athletic may be the perfect buy. They're simple, they say it all and they have generally have color options, plus big and tall.
Women's Shorty Swoop 9FORTY Adjustable Cap. Here's another new New Era look, the coolest trucker cap ever. The faded color from crown to bill is pretty sweet, as is the embroidered logo.
Youth 3-in-1 Combo T-shirt. This new Adidas look makes you wish you were a kid again. It's two tees that can be worn separately or laid on top of each other, good for the last stretch of school and those changeable skies.
Victoria's Secret PINK Collection. Like they say at VS Pink, "Batter up, party down." Here's the latest in the fashion line that took baseball by storm the last couple of years. You'll see these everywhere this summer, so the only question is whether you will be wearing it.
Pink Drinkware. Speaking of pink, we've got all-new pink cheetah mugs, pink cheetah tumblers, pink tumblers, pink zebra mugs and pink zebra tumblers.
Authentic Collection "Property Of" Tees & Sweatshirts. These Majestic Athletic designs are worn by players, and that's usually reason enough for a lot of fans to go get 'em.
Gameday Silicone Bracelets. For guys or girls, these feature the MLB logo as well as the Power Balance logo hologram and features your team's color scheme or the optic-yellow version.

Ticket and Minted Coin Desk Top Acrylic. The Highlight Mint added this to its overall collection, so just pick the star you want with a limited edition of 5,000 for each. It features a player "ticket" with bio on the back, and a 3 1/2-inch by 9-inch acrylic holder that also includes a 39-mm minted commemorative team coin.
Nike Women's Collection. How about starting with that navy H-TOWN T-shirt featuring the new Astros logo on the right hip?
Team Logo Art. These unique prints are based on an original painting by abstract artist Timothy Raines. It will cost $29.99 unframed or $99.99 for a frame, and you can view it with or without the frame plus a zoom of the detail.
