SAN FRANCISCO -- Buster Posey and Pablo Sandoval went from being leaders to contenders in the fan balloting for next month's All-Star Game.
Posey, who last year received the highest vote total ever for a National Leaguer, slipped behind St. Louis' Yadier Molina, who now leads the balloting for catchers with 3,596,858 votes. Posey's a close second with 3,506,402 votes.
At third base, Sandoval also dropped to second place with 2,788,988 votes, trailing new leader David Wright of the Mets, whose total has reached 2,917,819 votes.

Another second-place Giant is Marco Scutaro, who remained in place from last week. Cincinnati's Brandon Phillips (2,597,742) tops the NL at this spot, ahead of Scutaro (2,272,484).
Shortstop Brandon Crawford also occupies second place, but unlike Posey, Sandoval and Scutaro, he's far behind the leader. Crawford, with 1,757,255 votes, is outdistanced by Colorado's Troy Tulowitzki (3,104,285).
Brandon Belt, fourth among first basemen with 1,323,511 votes, possesses about half the total owned by Cincinnati's Joey Votto, the leader with 2,677,813.
San Francisco's outfielders occupy the lower rungs of the leaders' ladder. Hunter Pence (eighth, 1,732,843 votes), Angel Pagan (10th, 1,541,055) and Gregor Blanco (13th, 1,210,892) remained among the top 15.
