Giants place RHP Jose Valdez on 10-day DL, recall LHP Josh Osich

RHP Jose Valdez placed on the 10-day DL with right elbow inflammation (retroactive to May 19)

LHP Josh Osich has been recalled from Triple-A.

·        Osich had posted an 8.10 ERA (9 ER, 10.0 IP) in 11 relief appearances with the Giants before being placed on the 10-day disabled list April 27 with a strained right hip.

·        Appeared in four games with triple-A Sacramento, tossing 4. 2/3 scoreless innings with four strikeouts.
