Giants reinstate Brandon Belt from DL, option Pierce Johnson to Triple-A

The Giants made the following roster moves: IF Brandon Belt (#9) has returned from his rehab assignment and has been reinstated from the 10-day disabled list. Belt had missed the Giants' last 17 games with a hyperextended right knee, an injury he suffered on July 25 at Seattle. · Belt went 1-for-5 with a double in two rehab games with triple-A Sacramento. RHP Pierce Johnson has been optioned to triple-A Sacramento.
