After the Minor League season, many top prospects take part in the Arizona Fall League. Others participate in one of the various offseason winter leagues, which are currently taking place.
Some MLB Pipeline top prospects such as Fernando Tatis Jr. and Eloy Jimenez are currently in action, as are plenty of other notable players who either are making up for lost time or getting in additional work ahead of the 2019 season.

Prospects are playing in the following leagues: The Dominican Winter League, the Mexican Pacific League, the Puerto Rican League, the Venezuelan Winter League and the Australian Baseball League.
Here's a look at how top prospects, as well as some other notable players, are performing so far in offseason leagues.
Australia
Michael Gettys, OF, Padres -- The Padres did not add their 2014 second-round pick to their 40-man roster last month, meaning that Gettys, a former Padres Top 30 prospect, will be eligible in the upcoming Rule 5 Draft. His strong start in the ABL with Adelaide could help with that, as he's produced a .341/.391/.732 line with four homers over his first 12 games. During the regular season, Gettys totaled 15 homers and 17 steals but slashed just .230/.290/.399 with a 33.8 percent strikeout rate over 125 games at Double-A San Antonio.
Tristan Gray, 2B, Rays -- Gray, like Gettys, has swung the bat well early in the ABL season, hitting .341 overall with seven extra-base hits (2 HR) and 13 RBIs through 12 games for Perth. Acquired from the Pirates last February in the Corey Dickerson trade, Gray made the jump directly to the Class A Advanced Florida State League for his first full season. He hit just .238 over 118 games, but showed impressive power potential by posting 53 extra-base hits, including 13 homers and 38 doubles.
Dominican Republic
Fernando Tatis Jr., SS, Padres No. 1 -- The No. 2 overall prospect has hit safely in eight of his last 10 games for Estrellas to improve his winter league line to .269/.377/.519 through 15 games. After a thumb injury prematurely ended Tatis' regular season, the 19-year-old shortstop has shown no ill effects as he's totaled three home runs, four doubles and six steals.
Eloy Jimenez, OF, White Sox No. 1 -- Jimenez made headlines last week when he launched a grand slam in his winter league debut with Gigantes del Cibao before finishing the game 2-for-4. He's since tallied exactly one hit and scored one run in the two games in which he's played. The No. 3 overall prospect is getting in some extra work after hitting .337/.384/.577 with 22 homers, 28 doubles and 75 RBIs over 108 regular-season games between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte.
Albert Abreu, RHP, Yankees No. 3 -- Making his sixth winter league start for Tigres del Licey, the No. 85 overall prospect tossed two hitless innings during which he issued three walks but also struck out five. The line is indicative of the type of offseason Abreu has had so far, as he's now compiled a 1.35 ERA with a 15-to-11 strikeout-to-walk ratio and .186 opponents' average in 20 innings.
Framber Valdez, Astros No. 11 -- The left-hander was sharp in his latest start for Aguilas Cibaenas as he tossed five scoreless innings of two-hit ball with four strikeouts and two walks en route to his first winter league victory. He had struggled in his two previous turns, combining to allow eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits in just 4 2/3 innings. Valdez rose from Double-A to the Majors last season and became a key arm for the Astros down the stretch by going 4-1 with a 2.19 ERA and .175 BAA in 37 innings (eight appearances, five starts).
Mexico
Isaac Paredes, SS, Tigers No. 13 -- Paredes struggled out of the gate to begin his offseason but has rebounded to hit .357 with three home runs and four doubles over his last 10 games for Obregon. Playing in 123 games last season between Class A Advanced Lakeland and Double-A Erie, the 19-year-old shortstop hit .278/.359/.456 with 15 homers and 28 doubles while tallying 70 RBIs and runs scored apiece.
Ramon Urias, IF, Cardinals No. 20 -- Urias has cooled off since his historic three-homer, seven-RBI game on Nov. 28, going 0-for-13 in his past four games. He's still hitting .327/.450/.450 on the season, with nine home runs and 32 RBIs through 44 games for Caneros de los Mochis. After signing with the Cardinals last offseason, Urias slashed .300/.356/.516 with 13 homers and 28 doubles in 90 games between Double-A Springfield and Triple-A Memphis in his first taste of affiliated ball since 2012.
Puerto Rico
Heliot Ramos, OF, Giants No. 2 -- Ramos has gotten off to a strong start for Cangrejeros de Santurce in the Puerto Rican League, batting .341/.370/.614 with nine extra-base hits (HR, 3B, 7 2B) and eight RBIs in his first 13 games. The No. 74 overall prospect has been particularly hot of late, too, going 7-for-13 with four extra-base hits and four RBIs in his last four games. Ramos, 19, is coming off of a first full season with Class A Augusta in which he batted .245 with 11 homers over 124 games.
Venezuela
Yonathan Daza, OF, Rockies No. 18 -- Daza has just begun his winter league season, but he's already tallied seven hits including two doubles in seven games since joining Tiburones de La Guaira. A plus runner who swiped 31 bases in 2017, Daza was limited to 54 games this past season at Double-A Hartford, where he stole just four bases but still hit .306. The 24-year-old outfielder is one of the better pure hitters in Colorado's system, with a .310/.351/.419 line in 594 games over parts of eight seasons in the Minors.
