HOUSTON -- Rehabbing outfielders Mac Williamson and Hunter Pence continue to swing hot bats at Triple-A Sacramento, and Williamson's return to the Giants could be as soon as this weekend's series against the Cubs in Chicago.
"It's a possibility, sure," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "When you look how much he's playing and how he's doing, I think it is a possibility. I see Mac coming up here pretty soon and helping us out."
In 15 games for Sacramento, Williamson is hitting .444 with eight home runs. On Tuesday, Pence connected on a grand slam.
Pence, who is recovering from a right thumb sprain, is hitting .319 in 17 games for the River Cats.
"I think he's getting more comfortable with where he's at, with the tweaking of his swing that took place about 10 days ago," Bochy said. "I give him credit on how hard he's worked on this. He just needs a few more at-bats with this."

Williamson is regaining his form after suffering a concussion in a collision with the wall near the Giants' bullpen in a game in late April.
"As far as Williamson, just getting him to play nine innings," Bochy said. "He may go nine either today or tomorrow; if not, he's going seven. But we just got to make sure he's healthy, and he's real close. He got a couple of hits yesterday.
"The good thing about what's happening with Mac with all the time he's missed, he's gone down there and continued to swing the bat well."
Bochy said infielder Alen Hanson, out with a left hamstring strain, is days away from when he can start playing rehab games.
"I would say another three, four days and he'll be close to starting his rehab," Bochy said. "And we'll send him to Sacramento and let him start playing there."
