Unveiling of the Giant Vault

The Giants will unveil a new exhibit space located just inside the O'Doul Gate entrance. The Giant Vault will feature rotating themed exhibits each season. In celebration of the Giants 60 years in San Francisco, the first exhibit will celebrate The Move West. Exhibits will be combinations of artifacts from collectors and the Giants archives as well as timeline wall displays.

WHAT: The Giants will unveil a new exhibit space located just inside the O'Doul Gate entrance. The Giant Vault will feature rotating themed exhibits each season. In celebration of the Giants 60 years in San Francisco, the first exhibit will celebrate The Move West. Exhibits will be combinations of artifacts from collectors and the Giants archives as well as timeline wall displays. Stephen Wong and Rick Swig are the featured collectors for this exhibit. Lise Peters and Irene McLean have also donated items for this display. Artifacts include Willie Mays' 1957 jersey, last home plate from the Polo Grounds, Marv Grissom's 1958 jersey, Nick Peters' 1958 Opening Day Scorecard and the first home run ball hit in San Francisco (by Daryl Spencer), among others.

AT&T Park - The Giant Vault entrance inside the Lefty O'Doul Gate at Lefty O'Doul Plaza

CREDENTIALS: All media members must possess credentials provided by the San Francisco Giants, the Commissioner's Office, or by the BBWAA. Anyone without the proper credentials will be denied access. All requests for a daily credential must be submitted on Major League Baseball's online credential site:  https://credentials.mlb.com. Media will need to apply on the website 24 hours in advance of the event. Daily credentials can be picked up at the Media Credential Distribution Window located at the O'Doul ticket windows (adjacent to Dignity Health on the Portwalk).
