COVID-19 remains an extremely dangerous and contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place regardless of precautions that may be taken. By participating in Guardians Summer Camps, you acknowledge and voluntarily agree to assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and all other terms and conditions, including compliance with the Cleveland Guardians’ health and safety policies.

Our schedule, health and safety policies, guidelines and procedures are all subject to change, and will continue to be analyzed and shaped by the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Cleveland Department of Public Health, the Ohio Department of Health, and the Center for Disease Control.

Registration Period

Guardians Summer Camps are open to boys and girls who are between the ages of 6 and 12 by the first day of their selected session.

Camp will take place Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Campers will be provided with an Guardians dri-fit t-shirt and hat to wear at camp. Campers are responsible for their own equipment, sunscreen, lunch, and water or sports drink.

Registration will close one week prior to the start of each camp. No late registrations will be accommodated. Please see registration deadlines below.

Cancellations

No refunds will be granted. Registration is non-transferrable except to a sibling or household member (see below).

If a non-medical reason prompts a child's withdrawal from camp prior to the first day of camp, the parent may request one of the following:

  • A transfer of the original registrant to another camp session in 2022 that is not sold out
  • A full or partial credit for the purchase price, to be applied to tuition for the 2022 summer camp season (100% credit of original purchase price if requested before April 15, 2021; 50% credit of original purchase price if requested after April 15, 2021)
  • A transfer of registration at the original location to an age-eligible sibling or household member

No credit will be available for non-medical cancellations after the selected camp session has begun. Credits will be applied to Youth Baseball accounts only. No credit will be applied to Season Ticket plans or single game ticketing accounts.

If a medical condition incurred before or during the camp season and prevents the child's participation in camp, parents may request one of the following:

  • A transfer of the original registrant to another session of summer camp that is not sold out
  • A full credit for the purchase price (before camp session begins) or a partial credit (prorated based on days attended) to be applied to tuition for the 2022 summer camp season
  • A transfer of registration at the original location to an age-eligible sibling or household member

Liability Release

While the summer camp coaching staff will make every effort to protect the wellbeing of all campers in attendance, parents are asked to sign a Liability Release and Assumption of Risk on behalf of their children.

Disciplinary Issues

The Cleveland Guardians Summer Camps seeks to engender a safe, fun environment for the development of physical skills, discipline, and respect. Our staff employs methods advocated by the Positive Coaching Alliance and our own Dr. Charlie Maher to create a supportive atmosphere for all campers. Coaches and campers alike must always strive for cooperation and communication. Should a camper's behavior threaten to damage our culture or prove to be in any way disruptive, that camper will be subject to dismissal at the discretion of the coaches and counselors. No refund or credit will be granted for dismissal on behavioral grounds.
