Cleveland Indians Paul J. Dolan approved as team's MLB control person

Major League Baseball's owners today formally approved Cleveland Indians Chairman and Chief Executive Officer PAUL J. DOLAN as the club's "control person."

Each Major League club's control person is responsible for team operations and for his or her team's compliance with MLB rules.

PAUL DOLAN joined the Indians in 2000 after his father, LAWRENCE J. DOLAN, acquired the team. He served as vice president and general counsel until 2004, when he was named team president. In 2011, he took on the chairman and CEO roles.

"I am honored by the faith Major League Baseball's owners have placed in me. In Cleveland, we remain committed to winning a World Series championship while also enriching the lives of Greater Clevelanders through our community outreach efforts," PAUL DOLAN said.
