The Cleveland Indians today announced the following transactions relative to the Major League roster:
Activated RHP JOSH TOMLIN from the 10-day Disabled List.
Placed RHP NEIL RAMIREZ (lower back spasms) on the 10-day Disabled List.
Tomlin has been on the Disabled List since July 10 with a right hamstring strain. For the year, he has posted an ERA of 6.98 in 23 games/6 starts (38ER/49.0IP), compiling a 5.21 ERA in 17 relief outings for Cleveland (11ER/19.0IP). He recently made four rehab starts between AA Akron and AAA Columbus beginning on August 3, posting an ERA of 5.11 (7ER/12.1IP).
Ramirez is beginning his fourth career stint on the Major League D.L. For the year he has posted a relief ERA of 4.59 in 37 games (17ER/33.1IP).
