The Cleveland Indians today announced the following transaction relative to the Major League roster:
• Recalled RHP ADAM PLUTKO (#45, 26th player) from Triple-A Columbus.
Plutko, 26, spent the month of April with Triple-A Columbus, compiling a 3-2 record with a 2.35 ERA (8ER/30.2IP) in five starts for the Clippers. The right-hander has not allowed a run at home (3 starts, 20.2IP) and tossed 7.2 perfect innings with six strikeouts in his most recent start on April 28 vs. Indianapolis. Overall on the season, batters are hitting just .165 (18-109) off the UCLA alum.
Today's outing vs. Toronto, the first start of his Major League career, will mark Adam's fifth career stint with Cleveland and third appearance overall. He was on the active roster over three stints in 2017, but did not appear in a game. His last Major League outing came on September 27, 2016 at Detroit.
