CLEVELAND, OH -- The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has re-signed free agent RHP MATT BELISLE to a Minor League contract and assigned him to the Triple-A Columbus roster.
Belisle, 37, opened the 2018 campaign on the Indians Major League roster, posting an ERA of 5.06 in 8 relief outings (10.2IP, 9H, 6R/ER, 1BB, 4SO) before being designated for assignment on May 2 and electing free agency 6 days later. The Austin, Texas native owns a 15-year Major League career record of 51-57 with 14 saves and a 4.20 ERA in 668 appearances/44 starts (905.0IP, 984H, 422ER, 228BB, 690SO) with six Major League clubs.
