Indians recall RHP Adam Plutko; place OF Tyler Naquin on 10-day D.L.

The Cleveland Indians today announced the following transactions relative to the Major League roster: Recalled RHP ADAM PLUTKO (#45) from AAA Columbus. Placed OF TYLER NAQUIN on the 10-day Disabled List with right hip strain (retroactive to July 26).

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the following transactions relative to the Major League roster:
Recalled RHP ADAM PLUTKO (#45) from AAA Columbus.
Placed OF TYLER NAQUIN on the 10-day Disabled List with right hip strain (retroactive to July 26).
Plutko, 26, is beginning his fifth stint with Cleveland, having posted a mark of 4-2 with 1 save and a 4.87 ERA in 8 Major League appearances/6 starts in 2018 (40.2IP, 41H, 22ER, 11BB, 29SO, .263 avg). Around his tenures in Cleveland, the UCLA alum has recorded a mark of 5-3 with a 1.83 ERA in 11 starts for AAA Columbus (69.0IP, 34H, 14ER, 13BB, 64SO, .142 avg). Over his last 7 Triple-A starts, he owns an ERA of 1.17 (46.0IP, 16H, 6ER), including a 9.0-inning no-hitter on June 2 at Syracuse.
Naquin is batting .264 (46-for-174) with 7 doubles, 3 home runs and 23 RBI in 61 games for Cleveland this year around his first career D.L. stint, May 12-June 14 (left hamstring strain).
