Play Ball Park

What is PLAY BALL PARK?

Baseball is a sport enjoyed all over the world from the Little Leagues to the Big Leagues. PLAY BALL PARK embraces this philosophy as London's hub for all youth-focused baseball & softball activity in the lead up to the Mitel & MLB Present London Series 2019. Aimed at local students and community groups, PLAY BALL PARK provides a fun and nurturing environment to showcase the game, whilst also providing an opportunity to learn to play the sport at its most basic level.

As MLB look to grow the game in London, PLAY BALL PARK will be hosting a selection of marquee events at the London Marathon Community Track, right next to London Stadium where the Red Sox and Yankees play 29 - 30 June 2019.

MLB CUP LONDON 2019

On Sunday, June 23, MLB Cup London 2019, a closed-entry competition for young baseball and softball players, will take place at PLAY BALL Park, on a single diamond on the London Marathon Community Track. The tournament will be played by four Majors (Under-13) baseball teams, based on clubs that have chartered to Little League in the UK for the 2019 season, and two softball teams selected by staff from BaseballSoftballUK.

MLB Cup is MLB's signature international youth league competition, through which nearly 10,000 kids in Japan, Taiwan and Mexico have participated in tournament play over the past three years. Similar to the Mitel & MLB Present London Series 2019, the MLB Cup is being held in Europe for the first time.

PLAY BALL Events

From Monday, June 24 through Wednesday, June 26, PLAY BALL PARK will host interactive, fun sessions for local students and teachers to try their hands at both baseball & softball. The sessions are free of charge to attend and participants will be taught the basics of the game, along with how baseball can be played in several casual forms.
