BALTIMORE -- Three Mariners are in the top five at their positions in the American League voting for next month's All-Star Game presented by Mastercard.
VOTE: 2018 Camping World MLB All-Star Ballot
Dee Gordon, who took over at second base after was suspended, is the highest-ranked Mariners player in the voting. Gordon sits in third place with 395,253 votes behind leader of the Astros (2,460,967) and of the Yankees (797,817).
"It means a lot," said Gordon, who has a .289 batting average with one homer, 20 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. "I work hard. I want to be one of the best. Just to be in the same categories with these guys is pretty amazing."
(shortstop) and (designated hitter) both are fifth in their respective categories while also having strong seasons.
Mariners manager Scott Servais is hoping to see a few of his players make it to the July 17 game in Washington.

"We've got [players] that are certainly very deserving of getting the opportunity to go there," Servais said. "We certainly have guys that are deserving of that, four or five of them that very well could show up in the game."
