Mariners announce winter caravan details

Club to make 22 stops over three weeks across Pacific Northwest

SEATTLE -- The Mariners will kick off the New Year on Monday when their annual three-week winter caravan begins a journey that will make 22 stops in communities in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia.

The 2019 Mariners Caravan features a mix of elementary school assemblies, hospital visits, Boys & Girls Club gatherings as well as a few free public autograph and photo sessions.

The caravan begins on Monday with stops in Centralia and Kelso, followed by the first public event of the tour with an autograph session at Myklebust Gymnasium at Lower Columbia College in Longview from 4:30-6 p.m. PT.

Those initial stops will include left-handed starter , the Mariners' new top prospect acquired from the Yankees, along with reliever , broadcasters Aaron Goldsmith and Ryan Rowland-Smith and the always popular Mariner Moose.

Relievers and are scheduled to join the tour on Thursday and Friday of next week in Blaine, Wash., and Vancouver, B.C., as well as a public session at the Mariners Team Store in Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood on Friday from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

The initial week also includes stops in Longview and Vancouver, Wash., as well as Portland and Hillsboro, Ore., as the group journeys up and down the I-5 corridor.

The second week will include stops in Yakima, Wenatchee, Spokane, Walla Walla, Tri-Cities and Post Falls, Idaho.
