Mariners FanFest to follow games in Japan

November 15th, 2018

SEATTLE -- Mariners FanFest will occur at a different time this year, with the two-day event set for the weekend of March 23-24 after the club returns from its season-opening series in Japan.
The Mariners will hold workouts on the field that fans can watch on those two days. Additionally, players will sign autographs and fans will be able to run the bases, play catch in the outfield and participate in question-and-answer sessions in normal FanFest fashion.
The Mariners will then play a pair of exhibition games in Seattle against the Padres on Monday, March 25, at 7:10 p.m. PT and Tuesday, March 26, at 1:10 p.m. PT, leading up to their home opener on Thursday, March 28, at 4:08 p.m. PT against the Red Sox.
Tickets for FanFest and the exhibition games are $10 for adults, while kids 14 and younger are free to both events. There is also a "Fan Fun Pack" available for $25 for both FanFest days and the two exhibition contests.
The Mariners open their regular season in Tokyo against the A's from March 20-21. They will then fly home directly from Japan instead of returning to Arizona, which they also did in 2012 -- the last time they played in the Opening Series in the Tokyo Dome.
FanFest had previously been held in the final weekend of January, though last year's event was canceled in order to not disrupt the newly planted grass turf at the stadium.
FanFest tickets will be available on Saturday at Mariners.com/FanFest and at Mariners Team Stores. Single-game tickets for all regular-season games also go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. PT.
Tickets will be available at all Mariners Team Stores (at the ballpark, Downtown Seattle at 4th & Stewart, Bellevue Square, Southcenter and Alderwood Malls), online at Mariners.com/Tickets and by phone at 1-888-SEA-HITS.
