The Miami Marlins Player Development program prepares our players for professional success on and off the field. A key principle in our development program is teaching our minor league players to understand the value of giving back to one’s community. The Minor League players participate in community service events throughout the year. We task them to identify a specific cause and population they would like to support using their platform.
Our minor league players volunteer with many organizations and schools including but not limited to the Boys and Girls Club, Feeding South Florida, Marsh Pointe Elementary, Palm Beach Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics, Miracle League, Hispanic Human Resource Center, Carmen Dilia Ortiz School (Guerra, Dominican Republic), and Furry Friends Animal Shelter.
